400;\">Ces photographies naissent d\u2019un territoire : les paysages secs et rocailleux autour de Carcassonne. La roche, la terre, la poussi\u00e8re y deviennent une mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re, \u00e0 la fois nourrici\u00e8re et funeste, matrice et tombeau.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La mati\u00e8re min\u00e9rale envahit le cadre, isole les corps, les soustrait au r\u00e9el. Face \u00e0 cette masse immobile, le corps r\u00e9siste. Il danse, lutte, chute, se tend. La sueur, l\u2019effort et le mouvement font surgir une mati\u00e8re organique, vivante, presque primitive.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Des figures de la statuaire classique affleurent, mais elles sont travers\u00e9es par une tension plus trouble : entre violence et tendresse, puissance et fragilit\u00e9, immobilit\u00e9 et mouvement. Rock, earth and dust become a raw material, at once nourishing and fatal, both matrix and tomb.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mineral matter fills the frame, isolating the bodies and removing them from reality. Faced with this immobile mass, the body resists. It dances, struggles, falls, stretches. Sweat, exertion and movement bring forth an organic, living, almost primitive matter.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Figures from classical sculpture emerge, yet they are charged with a more troubled tension : between violence and tenderness, strength and fragility, stillness and movement. Rock, earth and dust become a raw material, at once nourishing and fatal, both matrix and tomb. Mineral matter fills the frame, isolating the bodies and removing them from reality. Faced with this immobile mass, the body resists. It dances, struggles, falls, stretches. Sweat, exertion and movement bring forth an organic, living, almost primitive matter.
