Au cœur des mêlées, Tina Merandon observe les relations entre humains et animaux là où les frontières vacillent : entre jeu et affrontement, proximité et contrainte, attachement et puissance. La meute devient un collectif de corps et d’affects, marqué par l’histoire de la domestication.
Dans les paysages normands, jeunes gens et chiens composent un monde commun. Bocages, dunes et plages deviennent les lieux d’une relation faite de confiance, de peur, de jeu et parfois de brutalité. Les corps, les regards et les gestes témoignent d’une proximité où chacun agit sur l’autre.
À travers ces images, Tina Merandon interroge la séparation entre nature et culture. L’animal n’apparaît plus comme un être extérieur à l’humain, mais comme un partenaire avec lequel nous partageons un monde. Une approche sensible et poétique qui questionne notre manière d’habiter le vivant et notre place parmi les autres espèces.

“Suddenly, the Melee”

At the heart of the melee, Tina Merandon observes the relationships between humans and animals where boundaries begin to blur : between play and confrontation, closeness and constraint, attachment and power. The pack becomes a collective of bodies and affects, shaped by the long history of domestication.
In the landscapes of Normandy, young people and dogs inhabit a shared world. Hedgerows, dunes and beaches become the settings for a relationship shaped by trust, fear, play and, at times, brutality. Bodies, gazes and gestures bear witness to a proximity in which each acts upon the other.
Through these images, Tina Merandon questions the separation between nature and culture. The animal no longer appears as a being external to the human world, but as a partner with whom we share a common world. Her sensitive and poetic approach invites us to reconsider how we inhabit the living world and our place among other species.
