L’ensemble des Lutteurs explore le corps dans sa confrontation à l’autre. Dans les salles d’entraînement et les dojos de banlieue, principalement en Seine-Saint-Denis, le combat devient jeu, rituel, épreuve. Les corps se cherchent, se saisissent, tombent et se relèvent.
Choisir cet instant où la lutte bascule en chorégraphie : corps compressés, superposés, happés par le flou, suspendus dans l’espace. Entre violence et tendresse, le combat devient une forme de contact, presque une étreinte. Les couleurs nuancées des peaux brunes et blanches ajoutent une chaude sensualité tactile aux images.

The Wrestlers explores the body in confrontation with another. In training rooms and suburban dojos, primarily in Seine-Saint-Denis, France, combat becomes a game, a ritual, a trial. Bodies seek one another out, grapple, fall and rise again.
I look for the moment when wrestling tips into choreography : bodies compressed, layered, caught in blur, suspended in space. Between violence and tenderness, combat becomes a form of contact, almost an embrace. The nuanced tones of brown and white skin bring a warm, tactile sensuality to the images.
